New Zealand First MP
It is amazing how fast this year has flown by. This week is the last sitting week of Parliament.
By now, with only days until Christmas, I look back at the year and can positively say that the first year in government has been filled with a lot of positive outcomes.
One of the best things about this year has been this government’s focus on building confidence, opportunity and raising productivity throughout New Zealand – particularly in the regions.
The Provincial Growth Fund has been instrumental in creating this confidence and opportunity, as well as raising future productivity.
With positive announcements being made all over the country, I’m excited about the positive outcomes coming to the Bay of Plenty.
Next year I’m sure there will be some more great announcements that will be made to benefit the people of Tauranga and the BOP and I’m excited to be part of that.
When we compare the PGF to other OECD countries, we are miles ahead and seen as a leader on the international stage.
We are investing in the regions more per capita than any other OECD country, and the benefits will be huge.
Being part of this government, with this drive and direction, has been great and I’m looking forward to another great year ahead.
With the year nearing an end, I’m also very much looking forward to spending time with my family. There have been weeks where I would only see them for a couple of days, then be away again.
I’m looking forward to spending time with my wife and children and taking the next few weeks to enjoy our time together at the beach, catching up with friends and relatives and camping.
I hope you all get to do the same with your loved ones during the holidays.
I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a happy, prosperous New Year.
