'I don't know who to feel worried for – Kathy, or the other drivers.” Doug Britton is responding to the thought of his colleague Kathy Sellars behind the wheel of the SunLive demo derby car on January 7.

Doug was last year's demo driver and this time it's Kathy's turn to take to the terracotta track for the SunLive Baypark Speedway Demolition Derby.

ASB Baypark Speedway promoter Bernie Gillon is delighted to hear Kathy is prepared to give demo derby a go.

Bernie says interest in the January event is strong and he's aiming for at least 50 cars on the track. 'We have six cars entered by one business alone.”

The January demo-derby is the first of two this season, with the second scheduled for April 15.

The event will also feature the second round of the Champion of Champion Sprint Car Series, saloons, mini stocks and six-shooter V6 wingless sprint cars.
