Keep the kids entertained with hysterical circus hijinks at Baycourt Community & Arts Centre these school holidays!
The award-winning venue is bringing high energy children’s show 3 Speed Crunch Box Rebooted to its X Space on Saturday, May 1, at 10am and 1pm.
Created by Australian theatre company Dislocate, 3 Speed is an absurd slapstick comedy about a family of outlandish stunt people – so expect impressive aerobatics, nail-biting circus tricks and lots of silly characters.
“Most of the Baycourt team are parents so understand the need to keep kids entertained and engaged during school holidays,” says Tauranga City Council arts and culture manager James Wilson.
“That’s why we booked 3 Speed for the last weekend of the holidays – it’s in the sweet spot of helping parents when they need it most and makes for a perfect family day out.”
James says 3 Speed has been ‘rebooted’ with an internationally trained team of Kiwi professionals, due to the current challenge of getting international performers into the country.
But Baycourt is determined to offer “something for everyone in our community to enjoy”, he adds.
“Arts experiences build resiliency in communities and teach us about other people’s life experiences. They’re a valuable opportunity to come together and enrich our emotional world. Or, in this case, they’re a chance to have a really good laugh.”
