Cherry blossoms blooming in Greerton

Previous events have been awash with colour.

The Cherry Blossom Festival is returning to Greerton this month – after a two-year Covid-19-induced hiatus!

The festival, held in Greerton Village on Saturday, September 24 from 10am-2pm, will have something for everyone.

Street Machines and Customs will be bringing their cars for a car show, Greerton Village School has their gala, there will be performances, bouncy castles, circus workshops, live music in the village square, a roving performer, an auction at 12pm in the village square and much more.

Chadwick Rd is lined with pretty pink cherry blossom trees – which are just now starting to bloom – and, weather permitting, the street will be awash with pink petals and bright custom cars.

'Join us in Greerton for the long-awaited return of this iconic event, featuring more than 100 custom cars on display in Chadwick Rd,” says Greerton Village Mainstreet manager Sally Benning.

Businesses up and down Chadwick Rd have decked out their windows in cherry blossom pink in celebration of the trees – which adds another activity for festival-goers to do on the day.
