The inaugural Pyes Pā Art Lovers Exhibition is next weekend at the Pyes Pā Hall.

Dedicated to supporting the local artist community and young artists of the Western Bay of Plenty, the event will take place on Saturday, June 14 from 10am to 4pm at the hall, located at 724 Pyes Pā Rd.

“All art will be available for both viewing and purchase,” Pyes Pā Hall Inc. committee chair Cathi Barker said.

Barker is one of a group of Pyes Pā artists who meet regularly, painting from their home studios.

“As an avid gardener, our property offers endless inspiration throughout the year, nurturing my artistic soul,” said Barker who devotes part of every day to crafting floral paintings.

Alongside the local artists will be entrants in the young artist competition with the theme ‘Autumn’.

Barker said this is a fantastic opportunity to explore and purchase unique artworks while supporting the region’s creative community.

There will also be a coffee van on site.

“We encourage you to come, support the artists, cast your vote for your favourite artist, and perhaps acquire a unique piece of local art. We look forward to seeing you there,” Barker said.
